SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.Responsibilities for SkillBridge Program participation are:Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman – SkillBridge Program (SkillBridge). Through this program, the service-member will work on site with their host company, gaining experience in an entry to mid-level career path. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Outlined below are the Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes for the program.Goals – Provide separating service-members with job skills training in a professional setting during the final phase of their military service. This program is specifically designed to offer hands-on experience that result in the potential to convert to a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training. Participants will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC.Objectives - Service Members who complete the SkillBridge program will be highly trained, capable, future employees that align to the specific needs of the organization and are prepared to meet the NG mission "Defining Possible" on Day 1. This program provides comprehensive hands-on experience including professional development, networking with leadership, and training specifically focused on NG leadership principles, company history, customer/stakeholder engagement, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities.Outcome – Offer service-members preparing for civilian careers a rewarding opportunity to join the Northrop Grumman team.SkillBridge Eligibility:Has served at least 180 days on active dutyIs within 12 months of separation or retirementWill receive an honorable dischargeHas taken any service TAPS/TGPSHas attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 monthsReceived Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.Before Applying: IMPORTANT – Complete the SkillBridge prescreening questions onlineJob ResponsibilitiesPerform performance-focused modeling and simulation on high-performance computing grids to evaluate and optimize system and subsystem behavior, conduct trade studies, and generate systems engineering documents, reports, and operational documentation.Utilize Modeling, Simulation, Experimentation, and Analysis (MSE&A) frameworks to support software integration, algorithm development, and radar mode validation, ensuring consistency between modeled environments and real-world data.Assess system capabilities by linking system and subsystem requirements to performance metrics and mission threads, defining and verifying interfaces and their connections that enable mission execution, and supporting integration and test activities during development.Support systems engineering radar algorithm validation by tracing IQ data through the radar processing chain, comparing modeled and collected data, and identifying performance shortfalls and corrective actions.Plan, generate, and execute verification and validation artifacts supporting system design verification testing and system acceptance testing, including test plans, procedures, and data review packages.Develop and improve performance models, simulation frameworks, and analysis tools, including physics-based radar models, threat and environment models, and command-and-control interactions, to accurately represent system behavior under varied conditions.Perform large-scale data analytics, probabilities, and statistics, including the application of design of experiments techniques for the evaluation of system and mission performance, algorithm robustness, and sensitivity to key parameters.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (M&S, software, radar modes, systems integration & test) to diagnose performance issues, recommend design changes or tuning, and ensure integrated solutions meet performance requirements.Generate and present technical material to support internal and external customer briefings, technical reviews, and design/test readiness events.Innovate to solve problems and identify improvements across MSE&A products, performance analysis workflows, and integration/test approaches.Develops, integrates, and uses advanced graphical user interfaces and visualization tools to explore, validate, and communicate performance results.QualificationsBasic Qualifications for Skillbridge Principal Modeling Simulation & Performance Analysis Systems Engineer:Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a PhD with 1 year of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.U.S Citizenship is required.A current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.Ability to obtain/maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.Experience in modeling, simulation, experimentation, and analysisExperience with programming languages like Python, C/C++, as well as scripting in Linux/Windows environments, and experienced in statistics, design of experiments, and high-performance computing.Experience with DoD testing and acquisition principles, with hands-on experience in developmental testing, planning, and execution of weapon tests.Basic Qualifications for Skillbridge Senior Principal Modeling Simulation & Performance Analysis Systems Engineer:Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree with 6 years of experience or a PhD with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical fields;
