Automotive Parts Counterperson

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Automotive Parts Counterperson to join our team. In this role, you will sell automotive parts to customers through various channels, including over the counter, through the shop, and on the phone. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a solid understanding of automotive parts, and a proven ability to manage multiple sales channels effectively.

Retail Parts Counterperson Compensation and Benefits:

Automotive Parts Counterperson Competitive Pay: .75%- 1.5% of total parts and labor adjusted gross from the daily sales summary per CDK, depending on experience. New full-time employees accrue 4 hours per pay period, totaling approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.

Paid Holidays: Hannah Motor Company offers at least 5 paid holidays per year to Retail Parts Counterperson subject to completion of the introductory period and other eligibility requirements as per company policy.

Retail Parts Counterperson Responsibilities:

Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.

Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.

Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.

Pulls and fills orders from stock.

Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.

Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.

Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.

Follows up on back-ordered parts.

Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.

Participates in all training programs that are made available.

Parts Counterperson Qualifications:

• 2 years of prior parts department experience
• Physical ability to use computer hardware/software.
