Licensed Practical Nurse- PRN- Night and Day Shifts

Position Details

Location: Mercy Hospital Jefferson and Surrounding Communities. Department: GIG. Status: PRN/Per Diem/Flex/Float. Shift: Various shifts available.

Incentives

$30/hour + Variable Shift Incentive

W-2 Employee

Minimum 12 hours every 90 days

Maximum 30 hours a week (Sun-Sat)

4, 8, or 12 hour shifts available

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under the supervision of licensed provider or RN, applying the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. This Gig Nursing Program offers flexible scheduling with no guaranteed shifts; you can pick up day or night shifts on short notice and float between designated Mercy facilities.

Qualifications

Required Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license in the state where duties are performed.

Experience: One year recent bedside LPN experience in Med Surg; two years for other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.).

Certifications: Med Surg: BLS; Critical Care: BLS, ACLS; ED: BLS, ACLS & PALS; IV certification required.

Preferred Experience: Epic experience.

Physical Requirements/Demands: Ability to push, pull, or lift 50 pounds regularly; prolonged standing and walking; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
