Night shift: 4x12-hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in med/surg nursing and telemetry monitoring to provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry readings, assessing for dysrhythmias and other complications.
Manage care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including renal failure, COPD, and postoperative recovery.
Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed, including IV management, blood product administration, and wound care.
Provide comprehensive care during pre/post hemodialysis and thoracic surgeries.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in rapid response and code team interventions as necessary.
Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical telemetry nursing role.
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS certification preferred.
Ability to float to different units as necessary.
Experience with electronic documentation systems, preferably Epic.
