Facilities Technician

Facility Technicians will perform a wide range of general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.

Responsible for maintenance and repair of facilities of select restaurant locations in regards to front of house, back of house, dining rooms, bathrooms, and basement areas

Maintenance and repair activities will include, but are not limited to, light painting, light plumbing, light electrical, drywalling, caulking, tiling work, ceiling work, grout work, power washing, moving company assets within location or from one location to another, and general preventative maintenance.

Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, tile cutters, ladders or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.

Performing routine facilities inspections to evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards

Assist in special projects, including but not limited to remodeling and new store build outs.

Responsible for assisting and training restaurant management staff on all procedures in regard to repairs and maintenance procedures

Hold self to the highest standard of performance

Be knowledgeable and hold yourself to the FGNY House Rules and the Employee Handbook

Availability to work weekends and C shifts as needed.At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

Training in refrigeration, hot cookware equipment, plumbing, electrical and HVAC preferred

Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, and lift 50+ pounds for the duration of your shift (up to 10 hours with scheduled breaks)

Function in a fast-paced and noisy kitchen environment

Work with hazardous substances such as hot oil

Read, write, speak, and understand basic English

Use a basic computer system (ex. cash register)

Available to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
