Head of Operations Management (m/w/d)

Description Sunset Rentals is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Manager to coordinate the day-to-day execution of property operations across our portfolio on Hilton Head Island. You will regularly assess property conditions and clearly communicate functional, mechanical, and aesthetic needs to homeowners while helping resolve guest and owner concerns quickly and professionally.
The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and solutions-driven, with a strong ability to juggle multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
Property inspections for owners and guests
Coordinating with vendors for general maintenance and projects
Shared inbox monitoring with ops team
Shared phone coverage for guest and owner calls
Ability to work on-site ; Availability to work Saturdays as part of the regular schedule
Availability to work rotating Sundays as part of the regular schedule
Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation weekly, including weekend days
Willingness to work during peak holiday periods , including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and New Year’s Day
Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in vacation rentals, hospitality, or property management is a plus, but not required
Naturally curious and eager to learn , with a proactive approach to understanding properties, systems, and the local area

Summary Sunset Rentals is one of the largest and most well-established vacation rental management companies on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, a market that sees over 2.5 million visitors a year and hosts popular events such as the annual PGA RBC Heritage tournament. 20+ full time local staff manage a portfolio of around 250 select vacation rental properties ranging from large oceanfront homes to two-bedroom villas.
