Registered Nurse ASCU/PACU

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Registered Nurse ASCU/PACU to work at a facility in Taos, NM. Shift Details:

~The Registered Nurse is to be clinically competent. By utilizing the nursing process of assessment of the individual patient and procedure, the nurse is responsible for anticipating the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining a safe environment. Addresses the psychosocial and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Responsible for monitoring patient's physiological status in the pre-operative and immediate post-operative environment, interceding to maintain optimum homeostasis. Communicates with surgeon and anesthetist continuously, and as needed, about patient conditions and receives direction for patient management. Call required to cover evenings, nights, weekends and Holidays.

Graduate from an accredited school or college of nursing required. Current New Mexico license as a Registered Nurse required. Critical Care experience preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse

Able to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of NM

Provides general nursing care to patients.

Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.

Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients.

Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.

May serve as leader for group of personnel rendering nursing care to number of patients.
