Schedule/Location: This position offers a hybrid work schedule where some of your work week will be onsite at our modern and amenities driven Lake Forest office location and the rest will be spent working remotely.

As a Loan Origination Specialist , you’ll work with both new and existing members, answering inbound phone calls, inbound web loan applications, and conducting outbound loan sales efforts. You will contact members to follow up on applications with no underwriting decision, processes visa limit increases, and handle loan status requests. Overall, the primary objective is to provide exceptional service to members, identify their loan needs, and offer suitable loan solutions to meet their financial goals.

Responsible for presenting member loan applications and all required additional information to the underwriting team for loan decisioning. Respond and provide timely and accurate updates to members about loan applications and loan status requests and address any information or documentation required.

Service, promptly and effectively addressing member inquiries, concerns, and requests related to loan sales and application processes.

Proactively reviews member credit reports to identify opportunities to educate on products that align with the members’ financial needs.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of member interactions, loan applications, and loan status updates in the credit union's systems and databases.

Identifies opportunities to enhance the loan application process, improve member experience, and streamline sales efforts within the loan sales department.

Introduce credit union products and services such as collateral and credit protection services.

High School Diploma or Equivalent - Minimum

2+ years' experience in sales, customer service, insurance, financial institutions - Preferred

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Loan Origination Systems or related.

Monday - Friday: 7:45AM - 6PM, Saturdays: 7:45AM - 1PM

The salary range for this role is $20.16 - $30.24 per hour. A specific salary offer considers factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
