Litigation Paralegal

The Commercial Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal. The ideal candidate will possess strong research, drafting, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Conduct legal research of statutes, regulations, rules, judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and codes as requested by attorneys.

Draft correspondence, pleadings, subpoenas, motions, discovery requests and responses, proposed orders, and documents required to initiate legal proceedings and appeals, subject to attorney review and approval.

Investigate factual matters by reviewing documents, interviewing witnesses, and researching public records and electronic information sources.

Prepare chronologies, summaries, memoranda, charts, affidavits, and other analytical materials for attorney review.

Track and assist in docketing litigation deadlines, including pleadings, discovery, pretrial, briefing, and appeal deadlines.

Gather and organize documents and potential exhibits for discovery, hearings, trials, and appeals; identify privileged and confidential materials for attorney review.

Assist with vendors, including copying services, investigators, process servers, court reporting services, and temporary clerical staff.

conduct searches within electronic litigation databases.

Prior experience in commercial litigation within a law firm environment.

Strong legal research and writing skills.

Proficiency in e-filing systems and electronic litigation databases.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) High School Diploma (or equivalent) with at least five (5) years of prior relevant experience;
