Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) on operating mechanical equipment throughout the hospital. Responds to emergency calls. Responsible for snow removal as needed.

Performs routine preventive maintenance on automatic doors, roll-up doors, and fire doors.

Performs routine preventive maintenance on laundry chutes.

Assists Automatic Door Technician with the installation of new automatic doors.

Repairs various hospital equipment: kitchen equipment, pallet jacks, and SPD carts.

Responds to emergency calls for the memios trash and linen system.

Responsible for snow removal as needed.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Related Field of Study required

Interpersonal skills to exchange information with other shop's personnel about work needed, to provide on-the-job training and to conduct formal skill-building training classes.
