The firm represents local governmental entities across Texas in matters including annexation, zoning, land use, platting, economic development, public information, litigation, and real estate transactions. ResponsibilitiesAdvise cities and local government clients on zoning, planning, platting, subdivision, and land use mattersDraft and review ordinances, resolutions, development agreements, easements, and related documentsCounsel clients on annexation, ETJ issues, PIDs, TIRZs, economic development, and public infrastructure mattersAttend public meetings and support city councils, boards, commissions, and staffResearch and analyze municipal, land use, and real estate legal issuesCollaborate with attorneys and client teams on complex governmental mattersQualifications-J.D. from an accredited law school-Licensed to practice law in Texas-Experience in land use, zoning, municipal law, real estate, or local government preferred-Strong writing, research, and public-facing communication skills-Ability to manage multiple matters and provide practical, client-focused legal adviceBenefitsCompensation is commensurate with experience and based on numerous factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials and location.
