Process EngineerThe Process Engineer's function is to support Operations at the Corporate level with a focus on operational sequencing and technology identification to ensure completion of scheduled projects. This role is responsible for being the architect of our manufacturing process with a focus on new product introduction. This position will identify best equipment and processes internally and externally. Essential Functions And Basic DutiesCreate routing operation sequencing on NPI work including the flow down of customer requirements.Identify best technology platforms for NPI parts with an emphasis on automation and quick change, in partnership with CNC Programmers and Manufacturing Engineers.Identify material requirements, specifications, and manufacturing optimization (plate stock, round stock, cut to size, multiple parts cut in machine out of one plate), in collaboration with Purchasing and Programing.Gathers information on speeds, feeds, and tooling requirements for various materials and machining practices.Creates and documents processes, prepares drawings, and develop work instructions.Estimates time standards for all orders prior to their release to manufacturing.Designs or assist in designing jigs, fixtures, tooling, and special production equipment required to meet customer specifications as needed.Initiate creation of In-process inspection sheets.QualificationsEducation/Certification: High school education required, plus at least 2 years of technical training in manufacturing. 4-year engineering degree, or equivalent industry work experience required.Engineering principals, tools, and concepts. Project management principles (i.e., Work Breakdown Structure, Gantt charting, critical path management, etc.)Experience preferred in SolidWorks, MasterCAM, or equivalent CAD/CAM software. Proficient with Microsoft software ERP system.including leading small cross-functional projects that span multiple MultiSource sites. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with a wide variety of manufacturing personnel and others at all levels.Language Ability: Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
