Health Care Nurse

Responsibilities Canyon Ridge Hospital is currently seeking a compassionate and talented Registered Nurse to join our team. At Canyon Ridge Hospital we understand that not all wounds are visible. Canyon Ridge Hospital has serviced the Greater Inland Empire since 1989. Canyon Ridge is a 157-bed acute, locked psychiatric facility offering services to adolescents ages 13-17, adults and older adults.

For some, anxiety or drug dependence looks different from others with the same diagnoses, and in some cases, behavioral health and substance use disorders occur simultaneously. Responsible for delivery of quality general and psychiatric nursing care to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with emotional or psychiatric disorders; serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization and program philosophy of care; to ensure the safety and well-being of each patient.

Shift Differentials for Nights and Weekends

Alternate Work Week Schedule - 12 hour shifts

Possesses current RN’s license issued by the State of California

Demonstrates sound leadership skills and utilizes these skills in organizing the activities and schedules for medical and/or non-medical tasks of the patient for a given shift;

Record of consistently high quality of clinical and interpersonal skills to be an exemplary role model to others

Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the psychiatric patient population

Application of this knowledge to nursing care

Basic knowledge of medical terminology especially those terms associated with psychiatric care

Basic teaching and training skills helpful

Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
