RN L&D - Night Shift

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)The Family Birthing Center is seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar setting and possess the necessary certifications to ensure the highest level of patient safety and care.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the care of patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum phase.Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.Effectively communicate with patients and their families regarding care processes and choices.Perform necessary clinical procedures, including circulating during C-sections.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including OB physicians and anesthesia, available 24/7.Participate in the triage of obstetric patients, ensuring proper evaluation and intervention.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.Current certifications required: ACLS (AHA)AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)BLS (AHA)NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)Must possess the ability to float to Mother-Baby or Level 1 nursery if experienced.Work ScheduleThis position requires working 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and rotating holidays. Candidates should be prepared to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). Scheduling will be finalized by management.Unit InformationNumber of beds: 13 L&D / 9 Mother-Baby2 Operating Room suitesPatient ratios: 1:2 for labor, 1:4 for postpartumClinical EnvironmentThe Family Birthing Center sees a diverse patient population, including standard labor cases and high-risk pregnancies, with approximately 90-100 births per month.
