Position Summary
Fajita Pete's is looking for a dependable, energetic Line Cook to join our team. Our Line Cooks are responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality Tex-Mex food while maintaining Fajita Pete's standards for consistency, cleanliness, food safety, and speed.

We are looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their work, and understands the importance of delivering a great product with every order.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook fajitas, proteins, vegetables, and other menu items according to Fajita Pete's recipes and standards.

Set up and maintain assigned cooking and prep stations.

Follow proper portioning, cooking temperatures, and presentation standards.

Complete food preparation before and during each shift.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.

Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products.

Communicate with other kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time.

Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries when needed.

Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties.

Help minimize food waste by following proper preparation and portion-control procedures.

Support catering and large-order production as needed.

Perform other kitchen duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Dependable and punctual.

Strong attention to food quality and cleanliness.

Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and instructions.

Team-oriented with a positive attitude.

Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be available to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
