Construction-Splicer

At Bigham Cable Construction, Inc., as a Coax Splicer, you’ll work in telecommunications construction, splicing coaxial system networks for communication companies that provide internet, cable TV, and telephone services.

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground

Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation

Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards

Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks

Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records

To be 18 years of age or older

High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience

Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card

Routinely : work in confined space, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
