Commercial Casualty Insurance Underwriter

Risk Management has an exciting opportunity to join the West Zone underwriting team. AXA XL provides customized risk management programs for major businesses and institutions operating in the U.Underwriter conducts risk review and analysis. Also, determines terms & conditions and appropriate pricing in accordance with granted authority and AXA XL underwriting guidelines. Underwriter effectively negotiates and secures policy terms that align with AXA XL directives.Underwriter cultivates effective business relationship with accounts, providing risk stewardship including initial setup of service commitments and ongoing consultation. Completes all required steps on account setup, documentation, and account management. Partners with internal service providers to build long-term relationships between customers/brokers and AXA XL, managing expectations of all parties.Develop and manage underwriting strategies for both renewals and targets within his/her portfolio of accounts, including knowledge of the current penetration by product, cross marketing penetration and specific plans to increase company share.Moderate to extensive underwriting large risk management accounts with focus on high deductible, self-insured retentions, captives, group captives, bundled and unbundled claims.Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and producers.
