IT Helpdesk / Junior Sysadmin

Position Overview
We are looking for a full‑time Level1 Junior Systems Administrator to join our team in Rochester, NY. This role is a first line of defense in providing technical support to our clients and offers opportunity for personal and professional development.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for Windows, macOS, Windows Server, and network equipment.
Troubleshoot software and hardware issues for clients’ IT environments.
Resolve network connectivity issues, assist with installations, and maintain system updates.
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure clients’ systems run smoothly.
Provide remote and onsite support via phone, email, or in person.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Windows in a commercial environment.
Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common productivity software.
Intermediate level Windows desktop OS skills.
Intermediate level Apple macOS skills.
Beginner–Intermediate level Windows Server.
Beginner–Intermediate level Network, UTM, Firewalls, Inter‑intranet.
Intermediate level MSO365 and Google apps.
Strong understanding of information technology principles and network systems.
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving basic hardware and software issues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
Customer‑focused mindset with dedication to providing exceptional service.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
Must have good troubleshooting skills, ability to self‑manage and find solutions.
Must have or pass CompTIA A+ exam within 6 months.
