ESME is a new neighborhood bistro that just opened on Divisadero Street. We will be focusing on seasonal dishes, French-inspired fare, and a thoughtful, European-leaning approach to food. The menu is ingredient-driven and technique-focused, with an emphasis on consistency, simplicity, and execution.
We are looking for cooks who take pride in their craft and want to be part of something from the ground up.
The Role
Line cooks at Esme are responsible for executing a tight, detail-driven menu with consistency and care. We aim to build a kitchen that is highly intentional—where the focus is on quality, teamwork, and steady execution.
Responsibilities include:
Executing dishes consistently and to spec during service
Maintaining a clean, organized station at all times
Proper prep, labeling, and storage of all ingredients
Communicating clearly and working collaboratively with the team
Contributing to a smooth, efficient flow of service

Interested in learning and improving your craft
Preferred Experience
Prior experience on a line in a quality-driven kitchen is required
Compensation
$19.61/hour plus tips (will come out to around $35-$40 an hour)
