Estimator Position

KWH Constructors, Inc is a privately owned, growing steel erector with a construction engineering subsidiary. We are looking for an Estimator to join our team in the Seattle area. Location: Seattle, WA area or other West Coast US hub city with willingness to travel.

As an active member of the Management Team, you will lead the estimating and pre-construction process on projects in the United States.

Responsible for all aspects of estimating and pre-construction process for projects including pre-estimate meetings, site visits, kick off meetings, and estimate archiving.

Conduct a detailed analysis of the contract documents and specifications, to determine overall project requirements and identify any associated risks.

Complete a full quantity take-off of all labor, equipment, and materials required to complete the project as per contract drawing and specifications.

Works autonomously and provides leadership, coaching and mentoring to maximize efficiency and productivity of those working with you on estimates.

Ensure project and Company safety standards and environmental programs are adhered to within estimates.

Manage the post-estimate / pre-construction efforts on estimated projects until completing an internal hand-over to Operations.

Be an ambassador of the Company both internally and externally while liaising with Clients, Owners, and Unions.

Mentor, coach, and supervise Field Engineers / Engineers In Training and junior Estimators.

KWH is currently looking to expand operations within Washington and Canada, plus new markets in Oregon, California, Alaska, and other parts of the Western United States.

5-10 years of construction estimating experience, preferably including structural steel installation, including leading estimates of $1-10MM.

• Steel Bridge and Industrial construction experience is advantageous.
• Work is performed in a combination standard office and hybrid / home environment. KWH is willing to work with all employees on a work environment that allows them to excel.
