Duties
Duties to include but not limited to:
Digging trenches, and/or ditches; mowing lawns; picking up of litter and trash, raking, sweeping, pruning and trimming trees and scrubs, and other manual labor tasks involving grounds maintenance or clean-up operations.
Use of rakes, hoes, shovels, picks, brooms, and other simple tools or equipment, etc. Will be required to use powered equipment such as lawnmowers, edge cutters, weed eaters, and leaf blowers, etc. in a safe manner
Responsible for maintenance of wellness garden and interior plants. Provide proper care, watering and fertilization, etc. Performs cosmetic are of plants and containers. Recognizes and controls in frequent plants and diseases.
Will be called upon to perform Bldg. 18 Waste Disposal responsibilities as needed.
Work Schedule: 7:00am-3:30am, Monday-Friday
Position Description Title/PD#: Laborer/PD96021A
Physical Requirements: Frequently lifts and carries objects weighing from 10 to 20 pounds. Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds will be required of incumbent. Required to endure much standing, walking, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and other laboring bodily movements throughout assigned grounds tasks.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
