Patient Services Representative - Primary Care (Temp to Perm)Program Type: Non-ClinicalImportant Notice: This is a Temp to Hire contract — only candidates interested in converting to a permanent staff position will be considered.Location: Primary Care clinic in Plumsteadville, PASchedule: Weekly schedule includes 1 late shift of 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, 3 shifts ranging from 7:45 AM - 5:30 PM, Saturdays alternating every 4 weeks (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM). Will leave early on Thursdays when working a Saturday to maintain 40 hours. Schedules are available 2 weeks out.Sample Schedule:Monday: 7:45 AM - 4:15 PMTuesday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMWednesday: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PMThursday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PMFriday: 7:45 AM - 4:15 PMInterview Process: Interview will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.Position Overview:Patient Service & Scheduling:Answering patient calls and handling inquiries promptly, following protocols and service standardsScheduling appointments (in person or by phone), confirming details, and rescheduling or canceling as neededManaging patient arrival and departure activities — collecting copays, obtaining insurance cards, signatures, and referrals, and updating records in the EMRCommunicating wait times and patient flow to both patients and staffFinancial & Administrative Tasks:Verifying patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and benefitsObtaining pre-authorizations, referrals, and coordinating benefitsRegulatory & Compliance:Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsMaintaining patient confidentiality and safetyCustomer Experience:Anticipating patient needs and resolving issues promptlyBuilding positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staffTraining:4-day EPIC training held Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMNew hire must pass an assessment at the end of the training week15-minute HIPAA training module required
