As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Alarm Console in Salem, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while maintaining a visible presence. Position Type: Part Time

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.

Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.

notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.

Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, access activity, and other security-related observations.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Experience using access control systems and badge systems is preferred.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
