As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols and primarily drive throughout a utilities location, helping to maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.44 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a utilities location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Monitor access to restricted operational areas and report access concerns, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed. Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. Minimum Requirements: Possess an armed guard card or license. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
