Provides pediatric technical expertise in specimen collection/processing and clerical support for test order management and report distribution. Provides excellent customer service to internal/external customers while demonstrating a positive and professional image at all times. Actively promotes a lean work culture by performing team leader duties to ensure consistent use of lean principles and processes, including continually seeking work process improvements. Assists leadership team with administrative and technical support as required. Recognizes necessity of taking ownership of own motivation, morale, performance, and professional development. Five years of experience in pediatric phlebotomy

One year of employment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
High school diploma or equivalent

American Society for Clinical Pathology phlebotomy registration or eligible

Strives for adult-adult relationships with colleagues, subordinates, and superiors

Performs technical and clerical functions of phlebotomist as outlined in job description.
Provides leadership and technical support for phlebotomy staff.
Performs administrative tasks to ensure services are delivered in a financially responsible manner through management of staff scheduling, workload reporting, supply inventory, and purchasing.
Demonstrates familiarity with and follows system and departmental policies and procedures, including those pertaining to safety and compliance.
Maintains and monitors equipment, supplies, and work area.
Performs duties, makes decisions, takes actions, and continually strives to improve work processes using an awareness of how work performed is valued by the customer.
