Drawing Quality Checker

The Quality Inspector performs various receiving inspections, in-process inspections, verification of completed paperwork, identifies non-conformance issues, performs final product inspection and checks dimensions of production detail parts and assemblies using hand tools such as calipers, scales, micrometers and height gauge. Inspectors should be proficient in blueprint reading and specification interpretation and be able to apply these skills to perform first‑article inspection using in‑house programs such as Inspection Xpert and Net Inspect. The inspector must identify drawing revision changes and purchase order requirements. Basic knowledge of the requirements, maintenance and implementation of AS9100 guidelines is required.

Follow all established quality management system procedures and work instructions.

Ensure procedures and work instructions are followed, resolving quality‑related issues with internal or external customers.

Perform receiving, in‑process, and final inspection, as required.

Generate required reports, perform verifications, track data and recommend process improvements.

Verify incoming product to ensure purchase orders and customer requirements are met.

Verify assemblies meet all customer requirements.

Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances per established procedures.

Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.

Create a detailed inspection plan using designated software.

Ability to understand customer specifications and requirements.

Skilled at using measuring equipment such as scales, calipers, micrometers and hand tools.

Knowledge of FAIs, DIPs and Net Inspect.
