Reports To: Family Practice Medical Director
Job Summary The Staff Physician provides comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, regardless of gender or condition, on a continuing basis. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, safe, efficient, and effective clinical care.
The physician prepares accurate medical records and reports in accordance with established procedures and participates in patient care reviews, staff meetings, and professional activities as appropriate. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Examine patients to diagnose conditions and support preventive health practices.
Obtain and document comprehensive medical histories.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, analyses, and imaging studies.
Educate patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Administer immunizations and vaccinations.
Supervise, mentor, and serve as a preceptor to family practice residents.
Qualifications Licensed physician by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
Board eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine; Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Spanish language proficiency (basic conversational and clinical) strongly preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex medical and regulatory documents.
Physical Demands Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands for handling equipment.
Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Moderate noise level consistent with a healthcare environment.
