The Dental Hygienist plays a crucial role in maintaining patient oral health through preventive care and education. Working individually yet collaboratively reporting to the dentist, the hygienist assesses patients, cleans teeth, performs X-rays, and provides periodontal therapy while ensuring strict infection control and accurate patient records. This role demands a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices and the ability to work independently within a dental care team environment.
Assess patients' oral health and identify issues
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
Conduct dental X-ray imaging as required
Provide periodontal therapy and treatment
Ensure infection control and sterilize dental equipment
Prepare patients for dental procedures
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene

Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
