PRN Therapy PT/PTA--Weekend Only

The Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant performs treatment and provides exercise instruction and patient education to improve patient well‑being while following the established plan of care.

Primary Responsibilities

Follow all state‑specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care, perform only those procedures the supervising PT authorizes, and recommend changes in the plan of care to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re‑education, gait, functional activities, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.

Observe, record, and report the patient’s response to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician; coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.

Educate patients, family, caregivers, and other health‑care team members about therapy within the scope of the physical therapy assistant.

Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.

Required Qualifications

Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of practice.

Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Availability to work a weekend rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.

Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay ranges from $26.60 to $39.90 per hour for full‑time employment. Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment.
