The City of Kemp is currently accepting applications for a full-time Police Officer.
The City of Kemp is searching for an Experienced Patrol Officer to be part of a progressive Police Department where you can make a difference and positively impact the community? Come join our TEAM and make a difference.
The City of Kemp is a thriving community that sits on US Hwy 175 and SH 274 In Kaufman County between Kaufman and Mabank Texas. Kemp is located on the Northwest banks of Cedar Creek Lake with abundant access to many outdoor activities. Kemp is a small Community but has quick and easy access to major cities like Dallas / Ft. Worth and Tyler being a short drive away.

QUALIFIED APPLICANT Must be TCOLE Certified.
2 years full time Patrol experience
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
Must possess a valid Texas driver's license (upon employment) and have a good driving record.
Must not have been convicted of a felony at any time or a Class B misdemeanor or above in the last 10 years.
Must be a United States citizen.
Must have an honorable discharge from the Armed Forces, if applicable.
Must be able to pass the following: Full TCOLE Background Investigation, Oral Board, Physical and drug Tests.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Age: Min 21
Education: Basic Police Officer Academy
Experience: Graduate of an Accredited Police Academy Required, experience preferred.
