HR Generalist (Employee Relations + Development)

As an HR Generalist at Ryerson, you will be responsible for supporting managers with employee relations issues and providing guidance on employee matters. Assist with talent management initiatives, including but not limited to succession planning, talent review meetings, and identification of key talent for assignment to career growth roles

Identify need/opportunity for developmental training, make recommendations for and engage with inside or outside resources as needed

Preview employment actions to identify and mitigate risk before decisions are made.

Assist with staffing and recruitment efforts

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an exempt Human Resources professional role preferred

SAP experience required. MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience required

High level of experience in maintaining and exercising discretion in the handling of confidential information

ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects, set schedules, and meet deadlines

Ability to project confidence and comfort dealing with individuals at all levels of the organization

Ability to travel up to 25%
