Grinder - Immediate Hire

Overview Role Overview We have an immediate opening for a Precision Grinder ($3,000 sign-on bonus!) to work in our advanced manufacturing assembly department based in our Hopkinton, MA location. This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. Please note that we will be moving to our new facility in Shrewsbury, MA sometime between the end of October and beginning of November.

We design and manufacture world-class precision motion and automation systems at our locations throughout North America, Europe and Asia. PI's customers are leaders in high tech industries and research institutes in fields such as photonics, semiconductor, aerospace and life sciences.

Transform single piece prototypes to low volume production

Perform in-process and final inspection on parts and verify that all print tolerances and specifications are met

Operate independently and process parts from prints

Maintain compliance to production schedules, cost requirements and performance specifications

Follow 5S and lean manufacturing principles and practices in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment

Requirements High school diploma or GED

Working knowledge of grinding fundamentals (gained through experience and training)

Ability to work self-sufficiently with minimal supervision

Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods of time during scheduled shifts.

Preferred Qualifications Strong working knowledge of advanced manufacturing concepts and strategies (gained through experience or training)
