Installation, Maintenance and Repair Tech

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our client's teams at (3) of their properties in St. Cloud & Foley, MN. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ experience in residential maintenance, have experience with unit turns, have knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role is contract to hire (30-90 days before conversion).
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
In this position, you will be responsible for refurbishing apartments prior to resident occupancy, providing maintenance services to include light electrical work, light plumbing, general repairs of equipment, painting, carpentry, and limited extermination services. We are ideally looking for someone with a positive attitude and strong work ethic who has 1 to 3 years of maintenance experience. You must be able to effectively communicate in English and have basic computer skills. You will be required to obtain your Boilers license within 90 days of employment.
Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; perform metal fabrication and welding.
Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.
2 years’ experience in residential maintenance.
~ Have a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance.
