This role requires a dedicated and skilled professional who will provide high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions and stepdown needs.Position InformationUnit: Cardiac IMCUShift: 12-hour shifts (7p - 7:30a)Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36Weekend Requirements: Every other weekendCall Requirements: Only if census is lowUnit ProfileBeds: 36Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 for cardiac patients; 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown populationMonitoring Equipment: TelemetryEHR System: CernerClinical Supervision: Managed by experienced healthcare leadersQualificationsRequired Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHExperience: Minimum of 1 year in PCU or stepdown unitFloat Requirements: YesKey ResponsibilitiesThe Acute Travel RN will be responsible for:Providing nursing care to cardiac patients, including monitoring and administration of cardiac drips.Managing chest tubes and other cardiac monitoring equipment.Performing assessments, interventions, and evaluations of patient conditions.Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.Preferred SkillsExperience with PCU/Stepdown patient populations.Low-level ICU skills preferred.Common Patient DiagnosesThe position involves caring for patients with diagnoses such as:Chest painStroke/TIAPre & Post Open Heart SurgeryPacemaker managementCongestive Heart Failure (CHF)Team EnvironmentWe are looking for a candidate who values teamwork and collaboration in providing patient-centered care.
