Armed Security Officer

Vaxcom Services, a Parsons company, is looking for an amazingly talented Armed Security Officer to join our team of dedicated and talented security professionals.

Maintain professionalism, while ensuring the highest quality security services in the protection of personnel, property, and information.

• Control access to facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring all personnel have the proper identification and authorization.
• Perform patrol duties via foot, bike, or vehicle.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night.
• Respond to situations using the appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force policy.
• Maintain proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems.
• Complete regularly scheduled training and (re-)certification requirements.

Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.

Minimum of 21 years of age (required to carry firearm).

High school diploma or GED.

Ability to complete New Mexico Armed Guard Level 3 certification (paid during training).

three years of experience in physical security as a security officer (armed or unarmed); Associate degree or higher in security related field; or any combination of two years' experience in physical security and military service.

Applicants not meeting the aforementioned criteria will be considered on a case-by-case basis with an emphasis on familiarity with security concepts, customer service, and expressed/observed ability to assimilate to the job duties.

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.
