HR Generalist - Recruiting & Employee Engagement

A highly respected, mission-driven PK-12 educational organization in the Greater Boston area is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join its collaborative HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and is passionate about supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations within a school community. This position will partner closely with HR leadership and school administrators to support talent acquisition, staff development, onboarding, compliance, and employee lifecycle initiatives across multiple campuses.

Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding

Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment and selection process
Assist with HRIS/ATS administration, reporting, and workforce data tracking
Support new hire orientation, employee engagement initiatives, and staff training programs
Partner with leadership on HR projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives
Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism across all HR functions

2–5+ years of HR, recruiting, or talent acquisition experience

Hands-on experience with ATS/HRIS systems and strong technical/computer skills
