Optometrist Full-Time and/or Part-Time

Job Description Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill the following O ptometrist positions:

• Part-time, 16 hours/week position assigned to the CompreCare Health Center in San Jose, California
• Part-time, on-call position will work on an as-needed basis at the various Gardner clinics in the San Jose and greater Bay Area.

The Optometrist provides direct primary eye care and guidance to Gardner patients and/or makes appropriate referrals. The position supervises Optometry Technicians and other support staff. Excellent experience and ability to provide strong customer service to patients from a variety of backgrounds and cultures is important. Applications will be reviewed on a first come first serve basis. Doctorate degree from a school of Optometry approved by the state of California.

A current California License to practice optometry.

Certificate in Ocular Pharmacology issued by the State Board of Optometry.

An average of 50 post-graduate hours in Optometric-Medical education in the last 2 years.

Current DEA license number (For Regular Part-time/Full-time Optometrist that work 20+ Hours)
