Job Description

TITLE

Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry / Stepdown

SCHEDULE

Shift: 12-hour nights, 18:45-07:15

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NIHSS
• Preferred: Stepdown experience
• License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal
• EMR: Epic

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor high-acuity cardiac patients, including those with arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-procedure care.
• Manage cardiac drips and dysrhythmia management.
• Perform IV starts and provide peripheral and central line care.
• Administer blood products and participate in rapid response/code teams.
• Provide non-invasive airway support as needed.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES

• COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
• Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Orientation: 3 days (including Epic training)
• Pre-start modules required (acute care modules ~8-10 hours)
