Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineer who will coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain to resolve production and customer quality issues through systematic data collection and problem-solving methodologies that ensure sustainable quality improvement. The Quality Engineer will accomplish their objectives both as an individual contributor and as a team leader and will be expected to help build & foster a business environment that embraces quality assurance (QA) and continuous improvement as a key to the company's ongoing growth and success.
Use formal, data-driven problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Develop and implement data collection and analysis projects to define capability of current production processes to define improvement opportunities
Understanding and defining production capabilities and applying capability data to engineering & production quality standards and specifications.
Developing measurements and effectively communicating data to various organizational levels.
Working with manufacturing, continuous improvement, and other teams when cross-functional problem-solving initiatives are required.
Working with Industrial Engineering and Accounting to determine the financial impact of the cost of poor quality (COPQ) and the benefits of continuous improvement projects.
Developing training material, operating procedures, work instructions and training individuals/teams as needed in updated processes and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred; Experience supporting quality and improvement initiatives within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
~3-5 years' experience applying quality engineering principles, problem-solving methodologies, and continuous improvement tools to drive process and product quality improvements.

In-depth knowledge of problem solving & quality assurance tools (PFMEA, CP…) with practical application experience.
