Structural Engineering (Junior)

About the Role
Seeking Structural Engineers to join the design team for major, large-scale industrial facility projects. This critical role ensures the structural integrity, constructability, and technical compliance of high-stakes industrial infrastructure, bridging the gap between design intent and field execution through active coordination between the Engineer of Record (EOR), vendors, and internal construction teams.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Field Support: Review and evaluate Issued for Construction (IFC) structural drawings prepared by the EOR.
Submission Management: Review and coordinate structural shop drawings, calculations, and submittals from specialty contractors and vendors.
Technical Oversight: Ensure full compliance with project specifications, applicable building codes, and overarching design intent.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between the client (Owner), EORs, contractors, fabricators, and construction teams to resolve design and constructability issues.
Technical Leadership: Facilitate technical discussions regarding RFIs, design clarifications, field changes, and engineering resolutions.
Procurement & Fabrication: Support procurement and fabrication activities by reviewing structural design requirements and vendor deliverables.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings across Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Process Systems.
Field Observations: Conduct periodic site observations and work directly with construction teams to address structural installation issues and quality concerns in real-time.
Schedule Management: Track and expedite the resolution of engineering issues to ensure project milestones are met.
Project Closeout: Support commissioning, turnover, and final project closeout activities.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
Experience:
Junior Level: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Mid-Level: 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.
Experience within industrial, semiconductor, mission-critical, large-scale manufacturing, or data center projects.
PE License: Not required.
Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience in structural steel, reinforced concrete, pre-cast concrete, and specialty industrial support systems.
Code Expertise: Strong command of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standards.
Environment: Demonstrated experience coordinating among Owners, EORs, specialty vendors, and construction teams in a fast-paced Design-Build environment.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in semiconductor fabrication facilities (FABs).
Background working within cleanroom or advanced manufacturing environments.
Previous experience on large-scale EPC or Design-Build projects exceeding $500M.
Proven track record in construction administration, field engineering, and structural coordination during active construction.
