Head of Strategy and Analysis

Position Overview The Manager of Strategic Pricing works closely with Firm attorneys to support day‑to‑day pricing needs for new and existing clients and matters. The Manager provides guidance on alternative fee arrangements, budget development, and aligns client needs with the Firm’s business objectives. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Chief Pricing Officer to drive pricing department process improvements, partner education, internal and external communication strategies, and materials development.

Prepare templates and financial pricing models to provide partners with projected outcomes for alternative pricing arrangements.

Develop and maintain pricing databases and tools using historic data for more accurate fee estimates during pitches.

Review billing guidelines, fee arrangements, and client terms for compliance with firm policies.

Track competitive market data and pricing trends by region, practice area, or other differentiators.

Required Education, Knowledge & Experience Bachelor’s degree required. ALPP or PMP qualifications valued.

Minimum five years of strategic financial/pricing analysis and reporting in a law firm, corporate legal department, litigation financing environment, or a professional services firm.

Demonstrable knowledge of the practice and business of law.

Experience with alternative pricing structuring, portfolio management, and financial engineering/modelling.

Experience leading process‑improvement activities and implementing project‑management disciplines.

Knowledge of Aderant or other law‑firm practice management tools.

Strong technical skills: experience with AI tools, SQL, advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint.

Experience with data‑visualization tools (e.g., Advanced proficiency in developing and maintaining pricing tools and databases.
