Product Engineering

ENG- Analyze production nonconformances and develop engineering dispositions supporting commercial aircraft manufacturing. Apply engineering principles to resolve product and process issues throughout the product lifecycle while collaborating with production teams, suppliers, and integrated product teams. Support factory operations by transforming engineering designs into production-ready solutions.

#Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET or ABET-equivalent accredited course of study

• 14+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering
• Experience conducting root cause analysis for production nonconformances
• Experience researching technical, operational, and quality issues
• Willingness to complete approximately 9 months of required training through OJT or formal classroom instruction
• Ability to work first, second, or third shift, weekends, and overtime, as required
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• 14+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering at the senior level
• Hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes

#Perform root cause analysis to resolve product and process issues

• Apply company design principles to support engineering solutions throughout the product lifecycle
• Research technical, operational, and quality issues affecting production
• Develop product and process improvements
• Prepare customer correspondence supporting the continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment
• Design interim structural repairs and conduct static strength analyses
• Develop non-destructive testing procedures, tools, and standards

#Perform duties in a factory environment with exposure to stairs, trip hazards, elevated noise levels, chemical hazards, and aircraft in various stages of assembly

• Travel between Boeing Puget Sound sites during the training rotation, as required
• Support variable shift assignments, weekend work, overtime, and rotational schedules based on business needs
• Travel domestically, as required
