Freight Handler (Evening and Weekend Shift)

Overview
Gordon Food Service is hiring for a 2nd Shift Freight Handler in Shepherdsville, KY. The role supports warehouse operations by handling pallets, pallet configuration, and inbound freight accuracy.

Role
Freight Handler responsibilities include safely removing pallets from trailers, breaking down products for correct pallet configurations, separating inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, accounting for damaged product, and ensuring pallet structural integrity. No prior experience is required; training will be provided.

Compensation and Schedule

Pay: Starting at $19.60/hour (includes a $1.00 2nd shift premium)

Plus, earn two pay raises in your first year

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, with Saturdays and Sundays off

2nd Shift: 1:45pm - 10:00pm (shifts vary based on work volume)

You must be 18 years of age or older.

Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions in a facility with frozen products (-25F to 100F).

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
