Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) travel position on nights, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and an active NM or Compact RN license.
Details

• Work setting is a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with LDRP scope, including antepartum triage, active labor, postpartum (mom and baby), and special care nursery/nursery
• Unit consists of 1 triage bed, 3 labor beds, and 4 postpartum beds
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity
• EMR systems include MedHost (inpatient), GE Centricity (OB), and Athena (Clinic)
• Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

Active NM or Compact RN license required
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E.
Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience required
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Valid driver's license required
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
Additional Information

Provides nursing care across the full LDRP continuum: antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases
Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical leadership, and scientific judgment in planning and delivering safe patient care
Delegates care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel
Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education
Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
Scrubs required: any solid color full scrub uniform; no t-shirts or hoodies — only undershirts may be worn beneath the scrub top
