Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Providence, RI. Duties Manage a diverse caseload from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
Develop litigation strategies and work closely with clients, experts, and colleagues.
Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients.
Conduct focused legal research and draft well‑crafted memoranda.
Collaborate with partners on complex, high‑value matters.
Requirements 1-3 years of civil litigation experience.
Experience in Rhode Island state and federal courts.
Experience taking and defending depositions and leading discovery.
Strong advocacy skills and proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
Ability to perform legal research.
Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA‑accredited law school.
Certifications Admission to the Rhode Island Bar.
Skills Self‑starter with strong advocacy skills. Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
