The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Evaluates, instructs, and aids patients using a variety of physical therapy procedures and therapies. Determines proper treatments, procedures, and therapies and counsels patients in the use of equipment and techniques. Works following a physician's orders, or operating independently under New York State direct access statute.
Evaluates patient's functional abilities and disabilities by tests, observations and information provided by family members, physician, nursing staff and others.

Instructs and counsel patients and family in the use of equipment and techniques. Evaluates home facilities and suggests need adaptations and resources in preparation for patient discharge.
Ensures appropriate safety practices and maintenance of equipment.
Determines types and frequencies of therapies. Provides treatments using a variety of procedures and therapies. Recommends modifications of program as needed to physician.
Keeps abreast of issues and changes in the field by reading and attending professional meetings and seminars.
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and completed relevant clinical education in a comparable setting required
Master's degree in Physical Therapy preferred
Basic foundational knowledge of Physical Therapy Practice required
