The Perinatal Sonographer workload and workspace have been carefully designed to reduce the risk of work related injuries.
Scanning 6-8 patients per day on average using premium GE Voluson ultrasound systems at all sites.
Large, ergonomically designed ultrasound suites and workstations.
As a Perinatal Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing low and high risk perinatal obstetric (OB) ultrasound examinations in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols. The Perinatal Sonographer should have special interest and expertise in prenatal diagnosis and OB ultrasound with the ability to recognize normal and pathological conditions and apply additional modalities as indicated (i.e. Doppler, 3D/4D).Additionally, the Perinatal Sonographer will obtain relevant history via EMR, image according to protocol, review cases with the care team, and generate preliminary reports using structured reporting software. Ultrasound Tech or a Principal Ultrasound Tech.
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in OB/GYN.
Commitment to continued education in MFM ultrasound by obtaining at least 15 CMEs (20CMEs for Principal level)every 36 months in detailed OB ultrasound and/or fetal echocardiography.
Recent, relevant clinical experience in an OB or MFM (fetal) ultrasound setting.
Basic computer skills.
Demonstrate knowledge of sonographic assessment of maternal-fetal conditions including athorough understanding of fetal anatomy, physiology, anomalies, and high risk maternal factors.
RDMS or RDCS in Fetal Echocardiography (FE).
Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR) Certification.
Inpatient OB experience
Two to three (2 - 3) years OB ultrasound experience in an MFM setting.
No call, no weekends, no nights, and no holidays.
Hourly Equivalent: $59.54 - $74.04
