PCU RN - Day Shift

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurses (RNs) to support a newly opened PCU unit. The role will involve caring for Medical-Surgical (MS)/Tele, PCU, and critical care patients, with potential float shifts to various areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU, MS/Tele, and critical care settings.
Monitor patient conditions and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with medical and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Assist in the training and orientation of new nursing staff.
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital policies.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols within the unit.
Patient Ratios

Medical-Surgical/Tele: 6 patients to 1 nurse
Critical Care: 2 patients to 1 nurse
Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience in PCU, MS/Tele, or critical care preferred.
Candidates must be willing to obtain TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) certifications within 30 days of starting.
Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
Schedule Details
This position is for a Day shift, 4x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:00). There are no block schedules available.
When to Start
Ideal candidates are encouraged to start no later than October 20, with an earlier start date of October 6 preferred.
