Full Time Mail Handler

The University of Alaska Fairbanks is seeking a dependable and friendly Mail Clerk to support campus mail operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely distribution of mail and packages across the university.

This position supports daily mailroom operations by sorting incoming mail, delivering departmental mail throughout the UAF campus, and processing outgoing shipments. The Mail Clerk also assists with overall mailroom operations and may serve as a Passport Acceptance Clerk, with training provided as needed. You should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, possess intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and have the ability to quickly learn new technology, point-of-sale systems, and required certifications. A strong commitment to following security procedures to safeguard mail, packages, cash, and customer information is essential. College coursework and two years of progressively responsible relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
