Harborview Medical Center - Environmental Services has an outstanding opportunity for Hospital Custodians .
100% FTE (40 hours per week), Evening Shift, 3:00pm-11:30pm and 5:00pm-1:30am

Our staff team contribute to UW Medicine Patients Are First healthcare team by providing a clean, healthy, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Our services at Harborview Medical Center housekeeping, linen, and waste management.
Harborview Medical Center has received multiple awards for its environmental sustainability efforts, including the Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award from Practice Greenhealth. Under general supervision, the individual in this role will maintain cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned.

Cleans and disinfects all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedure.
Empties/relines wastebaskets, regulated medical waste containers, and recycle containers.
Performs bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure.
Performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedure.
Follows written and/or verbal instructions regarding the use of chemicals, personal protective apparel, supplies, and equipment.
